Boliya Krishna is one of the most hyped and much-talked play of this season to be hosted at the stage of popular Assamese mobile theatre group Hengool Theatre. Boliya Krishna is written by journalist cum lyricist Rajdweep while Sankalpajit Hazarika will be directing this. Incidentally, this is the second time Rajdweep is writing for Hengool Theatre after Akou Edin last year.
Since the announcement this play, Boliya Krishna has been creating curiosity among the audience of mobile theatre as well as the people associated with this industry for some notable reasons. Boliya Krishna, as the name suggests, is neither going to be an adaptation from a classic mythology story of Lord Krishna nor a typical love story. As the playwright Rajdweep says, it is a love story, but not restricted to a single plot. Several facts of a Boliya Krishna will be shown by director Sankalpajit.
Key role in Boliya Krishna is playing by actor Prasenjit. He says,’ I am eagerly waiting for this play [Boliya Krishna]. This is going to be one of the most challenging characters of my acting career.’ Music will be directed by Palash Gogoi. Music sensation Zubeen Garg has sung the title track.
Chambalor Majnu’ by Abhijit Bhattacharya and ‘Jooj’ by Binay Saikia are other two plays selected for this season. Prasenjit and Shyamantika will play the lead characters of all these three plays as well.
