Dehbisar Song Makes it to India Book of Records

1589 numbers of people coming from different parts of Tinsukia District of Assam made into the India Book of Records when they sang a Dehbisar song (an Assamese folk song) at an event organized by Baitalik Shilpi Gusthi at Digboi Muliabari field. The song was sung for 17 minutes from 11:58 am to 12:15 pm, which is a new record.

Dibrugarh’s prominent singer Doly Das along with Probin Borah and others inaugurated the day’s proceedings by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Members and representatives of India Book of Records, including world record holder Abhijit Baruah, were also present in the event. The event was judged by world record holder Abhijit Baruah and his team.

Assamese Dehbisar Song in to India Book of Records

The India Book of Records recognition was conferred on the spot to the entire participating team, while vice–president of Baitalik Shilpi Gusthi Ashok Sharma was also awarded with the sponsorship award.
