Eight Candidates from Assam Clear UPSC Civil Services Examination

Bringing pride and glory to the state, at least eight candidates from Assam have qualified for prestigious civil services. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final result of Civil Services Examination 2015 on yesterday.


Padmanabh Baruah (194) from Nagaon has topped the list; followed by Sagarika Nath (199), Bidisha Kalita (210), Purno Borah (466), Saurabjyoti Bora (577), Jyotirmoy Bailung (786), Niharika Ingti (930) and Mamonee Doley (1,005).

Incidentally a total of 22 candidates from entire North East region have made into this service. Out of those, 8 were from Assam, 8 from Manipur, 2 from Arunachal Pradesh and one each from Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

On the other hand, a total of 1,078 candidates have cleared the civil services exam with Tina Dabi from Delhi bagged the top position.
