A Sikkimese nurse Madhu Kala Mishra is selected for the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Award 2016 by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. Hon’ble President of India will be giving away awards on Thursday 12 May 2016 at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi. The award carries the prize money, a medal and a merit certificate.

Madhu Kala Mishra

Madhu Kala Mishra who hails from Rangpo, East Sikkim is currently a Staff Nurse/I/C Trauma & Emergency/Quality Monitor Consultant & NOS Assessor at Singtam District Hospital, East Sikkim. She is a product of Rangpo Mining Government Senior Secondary School and Deorali Girls Senior Secondary School, she had done her GNM from MAHE Manipal, PC BSc Nursing from Sikkim Manipal. She was first appointed at STNM Hospital in the year 1998 and worked in different sections and departments of the hospital.
