Angaraag Papon Mahanta, the Assamese Musical sensation and son of the Bihu Samrat Khagen Mahanta recently has lent his voice to ‘Akou Edin’, a romantic poem for Hengool Theatre’s upcoming play with the same title. This poem is an integral part of the play ‘Akou Edin’ which is to be staged by Hengool Theatre this year. It is for the first time Papon recites a poem, which has been shot for a video too. This poem has been written by popular lyricist, journalist Rajdweep.
According to the Playwright Rajdweep, this poem will play a big role in the drama titled ‘Akou Edin’ and Papon has taken it to another level by his excellent voice. Rajib Hazarika has done the music arrangement for this song. The video of this heart-touching romantic poem has been directed by Sankalapajit Hazarika, while Samujjal Kashyap and Kartik edited this. Anup Barua and Nagen Baishya did the cinematography.
The two leading artists of Assamese film industry Akashdeep and Angoorlota are being featured in video and they will be seen in Hengool Theatre this year. Interestingly, after the super hit song ‘Pokhi Pokhi Mon Mur’ from the movie Rowd, again Rajdweep and Papon is working together. It was the first duet song by Papon in Assamese Film. And now Papon’s first ever poem with video is also releasing with the words of Rajdweep. The video of this poem will be seen on various channels and on YouTube soon.
